'Live from the Streets' is a video series created by producer Mr. Green and director Sam Lipman-Stern. The series, which airs on Noisey, follows Green globally on a journey meeting interesting people and musicians on the streets. Green samples their music; interviews the street performer; and then turns the sounds into original beats. After the beat is created, he collaborates with one of his favorite rappers to add powerful lyrics to the musical backdrop he and the street musician constructed. Finally, at the end of each episode, Green revisits the people he sampled to play them the final track; often times receiving emotional responses from people who have never heard themselves on recorded audio. The final episodes are a unique hybrid music/video experience.
Mr. Green has now compiled the songs from the series into an album, and is scheduled to release 'Live From The Streets' on April 7th.

Story behind the song & video:
This song is about all of those who don't fit in to what society wants you to. Whether it be music, life, work, school etc. It's about the struggle to remain true to who you are and un-tampered with while struggling with all of the temptations to conform.
Symbols in the video:
During the hook, the artist Playa Rae is blind folded and tied up. This is symbolic of the internal struggles artists deal with regarding their art form and not being accepted for who they are but struggling to stay the course to stay true to themselves and what they believe.
During KFV's verse you see a dramatic change in scenery and a beautiful female (Melicious out of San Jose) with him. She symbolizes the temptation. Temptations to give in to everything the industry tells you means "success"...money, women, jewelry, cars and more.
Th3y Say I'm different/
Not the same/
Th3y Say I never will fit in/
Th3y Say my music's awkward/
and I won't prosper/
But I don't ever listen to them/
Th3y Say I'm different/
Somewhat Strange/
Cause I'm outside the box looking in/
Th3y want me to bend/
Th3y want me to break/
But I'll be damned if I lettem change the music I make....
